This small makeup brand is going onto its fourth year as it was founded in MArch of 2014. Although it has only been a short about of time the company has made a huge selling and it labeled as a huge makeup company in 2017. Laura and John Nelson are two siblings from California that had a dream. They wanted to create a cosmetic brand that shared a close relationship with 3 things: the product, the customer, and the influencers. They felt that the makeup industry lacked the ability to allow their customers to have a voice and an opinion in the products that they sell. On their website, in the about us tab they share this funny yet relatable quote about who they are as a company and we can all relate.

ColourPop was born, raised and made with love in the City of Angels. Founded in 2014 by Seed Beauty, we pride ourselves on being wallet friendly and bunny approved. We test our products in the nicest way possible, leaving fur babies to be fur babies and experimenting on people instead (the people at ColourPop HQ to be exact!). We like long walks on the beach, sipping margaritas, swatching Lippies in the moonlight, and… oops, got a little sidetracked! Back to business. Trends come and go, so it’s super important to us that you can keep up with this ever-changing industry without breaking the bank. Next is Twitter: ColourPop CO joined twitter in April 2014. They have 734 thousand followers while only following 98 people. THey also have over 16,000 tweets and 75,000 liked tweets from fans.

 

Instagram: ColourPop has 5.4 Million followers and is following back 70. They also have over 4 thousand posts.

Facebook:

WHen you go onto Colourpops Fscebook page the profile picture is a simple picture of their logo and the cover photo is a model wearing the makeup from their line. It is a very effortless approach just promoting the brand itself. Under the about tab is where you find a brief description of the company. It talks about their main goal with is helping the cool kids find their beauty. It says that they sell products under $8 because you should hae to go broke to look nice. They have their company email and website incase you want to see more or have any questions.

80 to almost 100 percent of the posts on the Facebook page are pictures and/or videos of the product that they are selling, the product being tested or the final results of customers and makeup artist wearing the brand. I think its cool that they are able to show how the lipsticks and eyeshadow look on different people and how easy it is to apply. I like how the company has direct links to the glosses they are promoting so you don’t have to go through the hassle of looking for it on the website. There is not too much customer interaction. Although they do have a chat that instantly pops up that allows you to give feedback, check on orders or ask any questions you may have which is cool.

Twitter:

What is so cool about the profile picture and header on twitter is that it is almost exactly the same as their Facebook page, The profile picture is the same exact logo and the header is a model with the same makeup the only difference is the color of her skin and it goes to show how the products look different on different people. Just like Facebook the bio has the “Beauty for cool kids” saying and has their website as well. A Majority of their tweets have pictures and links directly to the website to purchase it. I’m starting to think they really believe in “A picture is worth a thousand words”. What I have noticed is that a majority of their pictures are screenshots from different people’s instagrams and not their own pictures.

They post a lot of pictures of customers wearing their product more than just the product itself. The most popular tweets are about the sales that are going on. They have over 75 thousand liked tweets from thousands of their fans tweeting a lot of positive feedback on how inexpensive the product is, how fast it shipped, great deals and so much more.

Instagram

ColourPop’s Instagram I think is where they are the most interactive. Their Insta stories include actual tutorials on how to use the products, behind the scenes on how they actually make the products and more. They post very often and repost tons of picture and videos of other makeup artists with their products, They receive a lot of positive comments about their products. however if they do have any negative comments or unhappy customers they make sure to address it immediately. If customers have any questions about a product or about a promotion going on they answer within an hour and try to respond to almost every question.

They take polls on their instagram stories as well asking which collection should restock or what colours you like best for the winter. They ask the customers and followers to pick who they should collab with or what stores should they put their products in.

Overall

I think they are doing a fantastic job at promotion their brand and staying true to what they believe in.on their instagram page. Not only do they answer people’s questions and concerns directly, they are taking polls and asking their customers what they want next. They repost and like thousands of pictures and videos from makeup artists and customers who are satisfied with their products. They provide tutorial on how to use their products and even show you the products swatched on different skin colors.

Introduction to the Social media life of Kim Kardashian West

Kim Noel Kardashian who now goes by Kim Kardashian West after marrying her husband Kanye West was born on October 21, 1980, in Beverley Hills, California to the parents Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian. She has 5 siblings going by the names of Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian. Along with her half sisters Kylie and Kendal Jenner. It’s no news as to how she became famous. She was born into a family that was already made of money seeing as her dad founded a music and marketing company and the attorney while her mom owned her own boutique. Kim describes her childhood like every girls childhood. She attended a catholic school and went to church every sunday. It was till her father died that all three sisters were left the company. They had to grow up fast and work hard if they wanted to keep it running. Out of the business kim created Kimsaprincess Productions, LLC. which includes 3 workout videos starring Kim herself.

Following that She and her sisters teamed up together to open the store DASH. Which is now in 3 different locations including: Miami, Calabasas, and New York.  She really grew into the fame after a scandalous video of herself and ex boyfriend Ray J was leaked online and took over the internet. She sued the company who posted it for 5 million dollars. She took this as an opportunity and teamed up with Host of American Idol and now Producer of the show we know as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. Which is now on season 10 and still Americas favorite tv family. Along with this she has created her own emoji app “Kimoji”, Her own show website “Shoedazzle”, her own perfumes,and now her huge makeup collection and new developed app. She is known as s a mother of 2 and expecting a 3rd, model, actress, reality television star, entrepreneur and social media queen that easily can break the internet with one picture, which she has done several times.

Kim Kardashian joined Twitter in March of 2009. She has over 25 thousand tweets. SHe has 57.8 million followers and is following back 129 very lucky people. SHe uses twitter a lot to promoted her makeup line (KKW Beauty)  and fragrance line that she has out.

She respond to a lot of her fans especially when there is a new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kim Kardashian West is very popular on Instagram although she only follows 113 people, she is followed by over 105 million people. She was in the running for having the most followers on Instagram but is now #3 behind Selena Gomez and Beyoncé.  She has 4,082 post which consists of pictures and videos of herself, her family and kids, Fans, Lumee Cases, KKW Beauty, her sisters businesses, public and social issues that mean a lot to her and her family. Kim receives between four to six million likes on a post and over 2 million views on any of her videos. SHe has impacted so many of her fans by the posts that she makes and the things she says.

Kim is a very frequent instagramer. She posts at least once a day. For example she and her sister Kourtney Kardashian are doing their annual 25 Days of Christmas on Instagrm. This is where everyday for 25 days they post a different picture from their family photo shoot. Down below are some of the posts. Kim loves to like and repost pictures of her customers using or reviewing her products. SHe went on Instagram and found her biggest fans and makeup artists and flew them out for the launch of her new makeup line.

Its obvious that the Queen of Selfies is one of the most viewed person on Snapchat. Kim gets over 45 million views on her snapchat story. Snapchat for me is one of the social media sites i feel is where kim is the most connected to her fans. SHe doesnt message than or respond to chats but she is 100 percent herself. She post close up and in time videos of herself and her kids and family. She post videos of her working out with her sisters and her daily routine. She posts makeup tutorials and sneak peaks to the things that shes working on. If shes going out or for instance hosting a birthday party she is snapping and keeping her fans in the loop like if they are actually there. On Instagram and Twitter she is professional and everything she posts is perfect but on Snapchat you get a bare face, regular clothes and just normal Kim and to her fans its shows that although she has all this money she is just like the rest of us.

Kim has two different websites the KKW Beauty website where she promotes all her makeup and three new fragrances and then she has her own website/app that people can subscribe too. THis app is where you get all the inside scoop. For example: you get pictures of Saint and Reigns birthday party that were not posted on social media anywhere. you get pictures and first dibs on her new makeup collection. SHe shares with people recipes that are Kardashian recipes and things she likes to make with her kids for the holidays. You can also enter contests and view dozen of never before seen makeup tutorials and pictures.

Analysis and Evaluation as a Whole

I think personally overall Kim is very active and in trend on all her social media sites. SHe is own to be known to break the internet weather is be a half-naked picture or the announcement of expecting baby number 3, She is able to keep her fans interested in the pictures that she’s posts. She loves taking feedback from her fans when it comes to posts and tweets about a sensitive topic. She is able to use her platform not only as a mother but as a caring person in this world and speak on topics that some people don’t see important or are too afraid to speak up on. She is a social media role model to many girls who may have started off life bad and basically labeled as this girl with a sex tape and now you look at her social media sites and see her growth and the tape doesn’t even cross your mind.

Digital Footprint

When you search for kim the first things that really pop up are the gossip magazines and the rumors about the split between her and Kanye and I think a lot of it is expected when a lot of people are expecting your relationship to fail. Moving on past that you get her bio on Wikipedia and then all her social media sites including: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and her website. After that you start to see a lot of articles from different magazines with pictures of Kim herself, Her husband Kanye West and kids. Articles from magazines like Vogue, InStyle, GQ, People and so many more. My favorite is this piece from the interview magazine showing how hard Kim works for all she has.

Kim has made herself a social media icon and has used her platform in several ways to help all the people she loves, including her fans.

Commendations and Recommendations:

I love how often Kim snaps and posts because I love her and everything about her. She is always thinking about her fans and her family and like I said, Speaks of things that hit right at home to a lot of people. She is able to give us a glimpse into her life and she doesn’t even have too. She makes her fans feel like family. She interacts with them and gives them what they want.

If I had to change anything is that I wish she would do more reposting of her fans wearing her makeup or commenting more on upcoming makeup artists and give them some tips and  tricks coming from someone who has the best makeup team. Also a lot of her post are repetitive throughout like Instagram an, twitter and Facebook and you get kind of tired seeing it three different times. Most of the time the people that get the most response are the people saying negative things and I feel like all celebrities should focus their time on the fans who actually care and not the ones looking for attention.

This blog is written to provide tips, videos and blogs about cooking, family & more. Ayesha Curry is a Mother of two, Wife of NBA player Steph Curry, author of her cook book “The Seasoned Life”, chef & all around loving person started this blog in 2017 after launching her cookbook. She wanted a way to be able to use this blog to interact with her fans and share all her secret recipes.

The layout to Ayesha Curry’s: Where Pure + Premi-Yum Live blog is pretty straight foreword. It’s not like the typical blog with a header and tons of works describing what is going on. instead it is very easy going. It’s got a picture of her and a link to all her social media accounts to help you “stay up to date”. It’s got tabs at the top that you can do things like watch videos of her cooking and videos of her family, recipes, all the way to bring about to purchase her cook book and cooking ware.

The blog has soft and creamy colors that makes it easy to read and stay focused while also in a way, making you a little hungry. Haha I know how crazy that sounds but I cant help it! When you slide down you can see a quotes from her.

With motherhood as my muse and faith by my side, those moments of family together time in the kitchen is where my balance begins, where we can all just be.

A video plays instantly in the background of her cutting up vegetables and gets you to want to watch the whole thing. The farther down you go you get more personal with her cook book, her up to date on her family life, her organization she is starting and even being able to subscribe and follow her. She keeps the website so simple with the top/Header of the blog matching exactly with the bottom/Footer.

The the Watch tab of Ayesha’s blog it is a link to her YouTube channel. Here is where you can find tons of videos that give you a little look into her life and what makes her happy. Here are 3 examples of different videos she has.

  1. Little Light of Mine Channel– This is where she posts or food recipes and cooking videos of foods from her cook book and also recipes from your everyday food that can be turned into a full course meal.
  2. Live Q&A: Ayesha likes to get personal with her fans. Every so often she likes to go live and answer any questions her fans may ask from her food recipes, her family and tips about everyday life.
  3. Fitness: Along with eating right comes being able to stay in shape to balance her busy life and schedule. She is just like every typical mother who has a lot on her plate and it is hard to stay in shape. but she teaches you little things that you can do to stay in shape even if you only like out 20 minutes each day.

The Read section to the blog is what I believe to be the biggest part of the blog. I think this because she uses this section to write her reviews of different ideas that she or others have come up with. She also tries new products and gives her reviews on them as well. In this part you are able to share your own thoughts and comments. She even allows you to share your recipes and she chooses one every so often to actually make and do a review on it. I think it is a cool way for people to interact with her and feel like its more than just a blog and shes just like the rest of us.

She does tend to like to promote her page and get people to like and subscribe and follow her on her other social media posts where she posts more often. Also things like subscribing to her youtube channel where her videos get put on first and she does live Q&A from questions that people ask her on Twitter and other sites.

Conclusion

I think as a beginner to the whole blogging world I Think Ayesha Curry is doing an amazing job. She is able to post tons of videos and recipes and give an inside to her life. She is very interactive with her fans and makes people feel apart of her life and that they can eat a good meal for a low budget.

What I think she lacks is that I feel everything is in  video form. When she does write on the blog it is very small and straight forward. She is more of a video blogger. I also wish for videos she would post videos of other people doing her recipes and their reviews on them. Overall I love to watch her videos because she has grown through time and you can tell in her videos.

Concerts & Vacation!

Hello Everyone – Welcome to my FIRST ever blog post!

A lot of people ask what I do for fun when I am not working or going to school 24/7 and the truth is I LOVE to go to concerts and travel anywhere I can.

In 2016 alone, I went to over 8 concerts. Concerts in small venues like House of Blues all the way to concerts at the TD Garden. I saw people like Kanye West, Jay Z, J Cole, Drake, Young Thug, Travis Scott, A Boogie Wit the Hoodie and so many more.  I like to travel but between work, school and concerts I realized I didn’t have enough time. So i came up with this insane idea of combing the two and WOW it was brilliant.

You got that right, I was that insane person who paid $475 to go to Coachella. In fact I already bought my tickets for next year that is how amazing it was. It was my first time flying and my first time going to California. Coachella is only 3 days long but i went 4 days earlier to get the full Cali experience. We did everything from going to the Santa Monica Pierre, to In & Out and the typical Celebrity House Tour.

I not only go to listen to the amazing artists but to see and meet new people and just live life. I already have planned for next year that for Coachella 2018 I want to go to Vegas but its the BIG 2 1 for me! I also just last month when to New York/Philly for a festival and was able to even meet one The Migos! Here are some pictures of my Cali trip. Its one place I cant wait to go back too!
